ONE OF MY FAVOURITE PROTECTIVE STYLES TO DATE | SLEEK PONYTAIL WITH CLIP INS + GIVEAWAY

Sometimes just sometimes a girl needs a new look. Honestly, if you ever find yourself stuck in a rut about life, whatever your worries/concerns may be, get yourself a new hairstyle and tell me it doesn’t make you feel that little bit better!

One of my greatest concerns when switching things up with my hair, is the expected manipulation. I’ve maintained a relatively low manipulation regimen for the most part of my natural hair journey, and believe this is one of the main factors behind the pretty great length and health I’ve achieved since going natural.

When it comes to hairstyles as I’m sure you already know from this post: Five Ways To Style Straight Natural Hair, I keep things very simple. I’m a low bun, high bun or twist out kinda girl, occasionally rocking wigs when I feel lazy.

Of recent however, I’ve become obsessed with clip ins, and the variety of hairstyles you can pull off without doing your hair any damage. If you’re subscribed to my channel on YouTube you may have already caught my most recent video. This hairstyle took me less than 15 minutes to install and I just can’t get enough of it!

As I haven’t done a giveaway in some time I thought now would be perfect. I’ll  be giving away two bundles of the HerGivenHair ‘Blow Out Kinky Clip Ins’ in 18′. There will be two winners both receiving one bundle each. If you’d like to know more about HerGivenHair then do check out their site here. Alongside my video there are many positive reviews on YouTube, which testify to the great hair quality and customer service that the HerGivenHair team offer.

GET THE LOOK : CURRENTLY OBSESSED WITH CROTCHET BRAIDS [+ TUTORIALS]

Over the past couple of months my pinterest and instagram feed have been overflowing with photos of ladies with the juiciest and bounciest looking spiral sets I’ve ever seen. Now don’t get me wrong I know crochet braids have been around for years but these ladies, are on another level, and I need some of the action like now!

It’s been a couple of years since I had my last sewn in weave and I can’t say I’ll ever revisit one, but crochet braids, those I can do. They take less time to install and remove, will cost you a fraction of the cost of a weave, and best of all with the help of a video or two you can install them in no time by yourself.

I’ve challenged myself to make my own crochet wig before the end of July, so here goes some video and photo inspiration that I know I’ll be needing. Wish me luck!

I have FINALLY uploaded the video for the ’30 days 30 Hairstyles’ challenge. I had major issues uploading due to my laptop’s memory, at 3 years old she just couldn’t hack it anymore! Anyway here it is… hope you forgive me and all enjoy it.
